Tyler J. Kelley is a freelance journalist and the author of Holding Back the River: The Struggle Against Nature on America’s Waterways (Avid Reader Press/ Simon & Schuster 2021). He also teaches in the Journalism + Design program at The New School’s Eugene Lang College. Kelley’s feature-length documentary film, Following Seas, co-directed with his wife Araby Kelley, was released in 2017 by Journeyman Pictures.
